AFK, Inc. strives to decrease disabilities in our community one child at a time.  AFK staff will assess each child and choreograph a therapy plan tailored to the unique needs of each child using a combination of physical therapy, occupation therapy, intensive physical therapy, aquatic therapy, swim lessons, acupuncture and play therapy.  Swim lessons in our indoor heated pool are available to all children and adults of typical abilities and modified as needed for special needs.
     AFK will provide education to families/schools regarding the conditions of their children and help with adaptive strategies to achieve modified functions of daily living.  With education and therapeutic services, AFK will instill hope, dignity and confidence to special needs children and remove biases or obstacles that may be impeding their growth.  As needed, AFK will advocate for special needs children and their families in their school or communities.
